EDWARD J. KRUSE

Funeral rites for Edward J. Kruse, 66, Manning farmer, were held on Monday, January 24, 1972, at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning, with Pastor Edward Heinicke officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery. Pallbearers were William Dammann, Merlin Jorgensen, Lester Genzen, Ray Vollstedt, Stanley Ewoldt, and Henry Otto.

Son of Charles and Anne (Schroeder) Kruse, he was born on December 20, 1905, near Manning. He attended rural schools and was married December 17, 1929, at Arcadia to Henrietta Jentzen. They farmed on the same farm northwest of Manning since their marriage.

Mr. Kruse entered Manning General Hospital January 15, 1972, and died there on Saturday morning, January 22.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, Charles, Denison, and Gene, Omaha; 10 grandchildren; his stepmother, Mrs. Caroline Ehrichs, Manilla; a brother, Carl Arthur Kruse, Manning; and a half-sister, Mrs. Lewis (Marie) Hagedorn, Manning.
