A SUDDEN DEATH
December 11, 1913 Manning Monitor

Tuesday afternoon while doing his chores Eggert Joens had an attack of heart trouble and sank to the ground. He was found later by his brother, but life was extinct.

He was a young man of much promise and had been married less than a year to Emma Friedrichsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Friedrichsen.
His wife and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jurgen Joens, are almost prostrated with grief, over the sad death.

The funeral will be held in the Manning Schuetzen Hall on Friday afternoon. The remains will be taken from the home shortly after one o'clock, and no doubt will reach the hall shortly after 2 o'clock.
The many friends extend their deep sympathy to those sorrowing.
