Elaine Frantz, 80, of Grand Junction died of cancer Wednesday in Jefferson. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home in Grand Junction, with burial at Junction Township Cemetery.

Mrs. Frantz was born in Manning and attended Manning School, a former member of the class of 1935. She then lived in Grand Junction many years. She was a homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and the Grand Junction American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Hospers of Story City; two sons, Haven Jr. and Jeffrey, both of Grand Junction; a sister, Bernice Hillman of Jefferson; a brother, Bud Barnes of Denison; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 7 to 8 p.m.
