Elaine Hansen

Elaine Mae Hansen, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugo D. Hansen, passed away at the home of her parents, Sunday, March 21, 1937, at the age of 3 years, 1 month, and 22 days. She was baptized in the Trinity Lutheran Church.

She had been ill since last fall with a rare disease called Acrodynia. Although her term of life was uncertain, she enjoyed the company of her many playmates and was a happy child, even through her illness.

She was born on January 27th, 1934, and died March 21, 1937. She leaves to mourn her death, her bereaved parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugo D. Hansen, one brother, Robert, and one sister, Margaret.

The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Rev. Hugo Nieting officiating.

Interment was made in the family lot in the Manning Cemetery.

As pall bearers acted Arlene Asmus, Ruth Best, and Lillie and Viola Asmus.

Relatives from a distance attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Comstock of Tennant, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Gear of Kirkman and Mrs. N.W. Miller of Defiance, Ohio.

We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to our neighbors and friends who so kindly assisted us in our recent bereavement, in the death of our beloved daughter, sister and grandchild, Elaine. We also wish to thank the Rev. Hugo Nieting for his consoling words, the choir for the music and for the beautiful floral offerings.
