Eldora Hofvander, 100, of Evanston, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, was born near Manning, Iowa, on September 2, 1918, and passed away November 10, 2018.
Daughter of Jurgen and Anna (Peters) Hinz, she graduated attended Ewoldt No. 2 Country School, and graduated from Manning High School in 1936.
She was preceded in death by her parents and the following siblings: Edna Kaspersen, Luella Gruhn, Edward Hinz, Walter Hinz, and Florence Genzen.
Beloved wife of the late Carl Hofvander, born February 10, 1911, and passed away July 1983. Eldora & Carl were married in 1946.
Loving mother of Charles (Elizabeth). Proud grandmother of Bradley and Mathew (Denise). Dear great-grandmother of Atticus.
Service and interment private, with Eldora's ashes laid over her husband's gravesite.
