Death of Mrs. J.J. Hudson
Eldora (Farrell) Hudson, was born in Clinton County, Iowa, January 27, 1867. Died in Irwin, Iowa, September 26, 1907; age 40 years, 7 months, and 29 days.

Her parents came from Clinton County to Shelby County in 1872 when she grew into womanhood.

November 27, 1886, she was married to J.J. Hudson. To them were born two children, Maud and Grace, who with the husband survive her.

In early youth she made profession of the Christian religion, joined the M.E. Church and lived a noble Christian life to the end.

She had been in ill health for some time, but last January she suddenly grew worse and gradually declined until last Thursday the summons came to come higher.

In her daily life she was exemplary and her daily walk was Christian indeed. Her life was living witness to her Savior and Master. She expressed a desire to live to do more for him who had given himself a ransom for her.

She was a loving wife, a kind mother and a good neighbor; yes a good Christian. A Christian, the noblest title ever given to mortal beings. A Christian woman, the highest type of womanhood. One among us but now among the bloodwashed throng with her voice turned to the praise of the Eternal God. She will be missed in the home, in the church and in the community. She has gone to the invisible where all must go.

The funeral was conducted by Rev. Golden of Manning, Saturday. A large concourse of people assembled at the service. She was loved and respected by all.
