OBITUARY.
Died, of consumption in Manning, Iowa, May 21, 1888, Ella, wife of E.F. Hilsabeck, aged 21 years 7 months and 16 days.

The subject of this memoir, Ella Timmons was born in Newton County, Indiana, October 5, 1866. She was taken by her parents to Marietta, Marshall County, Iowa, March, 1874. Her mother was there taken away by the same disease which caused the death of the daughter. She was taken by her father to Iowa Township, Crawford County, Iowa, in the spring of 1880. July 12, 1885, she was married to E.F. Hilsabeck. One child was born to them who is over one year old. Her many acts of charity and good deeds will never be erased from those who know her best. The day preceding her death she remarked to her mother-in-law "That if it was God's will to call me away, I am ready and willing to go." She admonished her husband and friends "not to weep for me, I am going to that bright world beyond." E. Timmons, of Eureka, Springs, Arkansas, arrived in time for the funeral services. Robert Timmons, uncle of the deceased, and others from Marshall County, were present at the funeral. Rev. Isaac Johnson, from Ferguson, Marshall County, was called to preach the funeral discourse.
