Little Ellen Hagemann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hagemann, of Eden Township, was born February 19, 1910, and died April 16, 1914, aged 4 years, 1 month and 27 days. The little one had an attack from cerebrospinal meningitis and although given every care and attention failed to overcome the terrible disease and left this world and sorrowing parents to enter the great beyond where there is no suffering or shedding of tears.

Burial took place at the Manning Cemetery. The funeral was a private one on account of the seriousness of the disease which is nearly always fatal.

The sorrowing parents have the sympathy of the entire community in their deep sorrow.
