Loving Wife and MOTHER
TAKEN IN PRIME OF LIFE

Mrs. Edward Frahm Passed Away at Wyatt Memorial Hospital Saturday.
Services Held Monday.

A Faithful and Loving Wife, Devoted Daughter and Respected Friend, Has Passed From Our Midst.

In the midst of happiness and contentment, awaiting the crowning event that unites still closer the ties love and happiness, and bring still greater joy into the home life comes a staggering blow of sorrow that wrecks all happiness and shatters all fond hopes of future joyful bliss. The plans that had been carefully made by two joyful hearts as momentarily wiped out, and gloom and anguish prevail where there should be happiness. A new life has come, but it was brought into this world at a great price, and enormous sacrifice—the life of the mother who gave it. After the young mother was taken to the hospital, relative and friends prayed that the two live at stake at that moment might be saved, but all the efforts, skill and care were in vain. The all-wise Creator gives us happiness and sorrow, so that we may more fully understand the insignificance of our individual power, and unrestrained submit ourselves into the hands of that great Supreme Power.

Elma Petersen Frahm was born November 2nd, 1904, in Clinton, Iowa. At the age of 10 years she came with her parents to West Side, Iowa, where they lived until 1924, when they moved to Manning. Petersen, two brothers, Bert and Edward Petersen, and one sister, Mrs. Herman Lamp of Westside; her parents-inlaw, Mr. and Mrs. John Frahm, and many other relatives and friends. The deceased was faithful and loving as a wife, devoted and self-sacrificing. Kind, charitable and helpful as a neighbor, consistent and willing as a christian worker, and with all a heroic woman of bravery, meeting the stern requirements with supreme patience and heroic endurance that was a wonder to all.
