MRS. EMMA A. ANTHONY
Mrs. Emma Alvena Anthony, 78, died Sunday, June 20, 1965, at Friendship Home in Audubon where she had lived for six months.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church here with Pastor G.C. Hattendorf officiating. Burial will be in Manning Cemetery.

Mrs. Anthony was born October 28, 1886, in Iowa Township, Crawford County, a daughter of Claus and Catharina (Schröder) Stammer and lived on a farm near Manning. She attended country school.

On March 1, 1911, she was united in marriage to Henry Anthony. They farmed northwest of Manning until moving to town in 1950. He died June 8, 1963.

Mrs. Anthony is survived by three sons, Merle of Audubon, Glen of Marysville, California, and Lyle of Manning; two brothers, Louie Stammer of Audubon and Edward Stammer of Huron, South Dakota; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and one sister in infancy.
