Following the committal services all friends and relatives are invited to return to the church for fellowship and luncheon.

EMMA CRAMER
Funeral services were held for Emma Cramer on Friday, March 14, 1980, at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning. Pastor Edward F. Heinicke officiated at the service, Dorothy Kusel was organist, and there was congregational singing. Interment was in Manning Cemetery with Russ Hammer, Melvin Clothier, Tom Volquartsen, Larry Clement, Don Nemitz and Louie Hammer as casketbearers. The Ohde Funeral Home in Manning was in charge of arrangements.

Emma, daughter of Bernard and Anna (Neethan) Volquartsen, was born September 19, 1903, in Crawford County, Iowa. She attended the rural schools near her home. Emma was united in marriage with Leon Cramer on December 31, 1925. They made their home in Dow City until the death of her husband on November 6, 1932. Shortly thereafter Emma moved with her family to Manning which has been her home since that time. Due to failing health, Emma entered the Manning Plaza in September of 1979 where she died early Wednesday morning, March 12, 1980, at the age of 76 years, 5 months and 23 days.

In addition to her husband, Emma was preceded in death by her parents, by 4 step children, 1 grandson, Steve Olsen, 1 sister, Mrs. Ella Clothier, and by one brother, William Volquartsen.

She is survived by three daughters: Pauline, Mrs. George Graves, Manning, Audrey, Mrs. LaVerne Olsen, Manning, and Madlyn, Mrs. Gordon Younie, Manilla; by 2 step daughters, Esther, Mrs. George Alexander, Waterloo, Iowa and Helen, Mrs. Pete DeMattei, Milbray, California; by 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; by the following brothers & sisters: Mrs. Hilda Hammer, Manning, Henry Volquartsen, Dow City, Mrs. Ann Jensen, Manning, Carl Volquartsen, Gresham, Oregon, and Paul Volquartsen, Manning; as well as by many other relatives and friends.

Emma was a member of Zion Lutheran Congregation, Manning.
