Mrs. P. Hoffeins died October 29, 1926, at home after illness of several months of multiple phlebitis.
Emma Doris Schade was born February 21, 1863, in Schleswig-Holstein Germany. Came to U.S. in 1881.
Married: April 10, 1887 to Peter Hoffeins who died Sept 2, 1925.
Children: Anna, died in July 1925, Mrs. Newton McCracken, Will and Rudolph of Manilla, Dr. H.C. of Omaha and Dr. H.J. of Storm Lake.

Other Survivors: sister Lena of Minneapolis, 4 brothers, Henry of Aspinwall, Louis of Denison, William of Manilla, and John of Manning.

Funeral: Presbyterian Church Manilla.
Burial: Nishnabotna Cemetery beside her husband and daughter.
