Survived by 2 sons, Lyle of Los Angeles, California; Ray of Reno, Nevada; 1 daughter, Mrs. Florence Joannes of La Canada, California; 1 brother, Arthur Babcock of Southgate, California; Mrs. Sadie Willard of Lyons, Nebraska; and Mrs. Alice Yeager of Lincoln, Nebraska, are sisters.


Mineral Rancher Dies Suddenly
Ernest F. Babcock, elderly local realtor and rancher, died of a heart attack Friday while riding on his Mineral County, Lucky Boy Ranch.

He was a native of Manning, Iowa, son of Charles W. and Margaret V. (Smith) Babcock.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Noone Mortuary in Hawthorne, with burial in Hawthorne Cemetery, Hawthorne, Nevada.

Mr. Babcock is survived by his widow, Mrs. June Babcock; two sons, Ray of Reno and Lyle of Los Angeles; a daughter, Mrs. Florence Joannes of La Canada, California; a brother, Arthur, South Gate, California; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah "Sadie" Willard, Lyons, Nebraska; and Mrs. Alice Yeager, Lincoln, Nebraska.

A brother, Clarence Spurgen Babcock passed away March 17, 1945.
