MRS. LOUIS BOHNSACK
Funeral services for Mrs. Louis Bohnsack, 55, will be held Wednesday, October 24, 1956, at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning with Pastor George B. Eschenbacher officiating. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery, with nephews as pallbearers. The body will be at the Ohde funeral home until time of rites.
Mrs. Bohnsack, the former Esther Popp, died unexpectedly at her home Sunday evening, October 21.

She was born October 7, 1902, in Washington Township. She married Louis Bohnsack June 29, 1923 at Glidden. The couple farmed in Washington Township until 1933, when they moved to Manning.

Mrs. Bohnsack is survived by her husband, a son Louis, Jr. who is coach at Ida Grove. High School; a daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Virgene) Hollander of Aspinwall; six grandchildren; and the following brothers and sisters: William Popp, Carroll, Erwin, Walnut; Mrs. George Wiese (Wilma), Schaller; Detlef, Henry, Elmer, Louis Popp, and Mrs. Bert Eich, Manning.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Mrs. Amos (Annie) Epsen of Arcadia; and a brother, Otto of Manning.

Mrs. Bohnsack was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Louis Bohnsack, who was 55 years old October 7, died unexpectedly at her home here Sunday night, October 21, 1956. Death came about an hour after she had retired.

The body is at the Ohde Funeral Home here, awaiting completion of arrangements.

Mrs. Bohnsack's survivors include her husband; a son, Louis Jr., coach at the Ida Grove High School; daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Vergene) Hollander, Denison; six grandchildren; eight sisters and brothers: William Popp, Carroll; Detlef Popp, Maria (Mrs. Bert) Eich, and Henry Popp, Manning; Erwin Popp, Walnut; Elmer and Louis Popp, Manning; and Mrs. George (Wilma) Wiese, Schaller.

She was the former Esther Popp, born October 7, 1902, daughter of Detlef and Frederika (Jentzen) Popp. Mrs. Bohnsack was a member of the Lutheran Church. Pastor George Eschenbacher will officiate at the funeral rites.


Esther Bohnsack is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
