Services for Mrs. Frank (Fae Bessie) Hoffmann, 78, of 604 W. 17th St., Carroll, will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church. Rev. Ernest Larson will officiate. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll. The casket will be moved to the church at 2 p.m. Wednesday to lie in state until the time of the services.

Mrs. Hoffmann died Sunday, July 30, 1973, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital following a brief illness.

Mrs. Hoffmann, the daughter of Fred and Amelia (Johnson) Cone, was born November 4, 1899, in Buena Vista County. She married Frank Hoffmann April 25, 1947, at Sioux City. The couple came to Carroll in 1951 from Westside where they were engaged in the real estate business. Mrs. Hoffmann worked with her husband as a bookkeeper.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include one brother, Ross Cone of Elmore, Minn., and four nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank, in April 1978; one daughter, Phyllis; one brother, Harry.
