Florence Fister, 65, of Fort Collins died Wednesday, September 3, 1997, at home.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Ronald Nickel will officiate. Interment will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Reager Funeral Home.

Florence Borkowski was born May 26, 1932, in Audubon County, Iowa to Roy Borkowski and Julia (Friedrichsen) Borkowski.

She married Darvin Fister on September 16, 1952, in Pocahontas, Arkansas.

Mrs. Fister was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, gardening, and making homemade sweaters and hats for family members. She lived in Fort Collins since 1965 after residing in Illinois.

Survivors include her husband, Darvin Fister of Loveland; two sons, Dale Gene Fister of Spartanberg, South Carolina, and Robert James Fister of Loveland; five brothers, Raymond Borkowski of Forest City, Iowa, Merle Borkowski of Elliott, Iowa, Russell Borkowski of Hornick, Iowa, Allen Borkowski of Moncure, North Carolina, and LaVerne Borkowski of Cherokee, Iowa; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
