DEATH OF F.M. LEET.
President of the German Savings Bank of Manning dies very suddenly at his Home at Audubon last Thursday Evening.
The family and friends had thought during the day that he was improving and would soon be out of danger, but in the evening he was taken suddenly worse and died in a short time.
Mr. Leet had during the last 60 days suffered with a severe attack of La Grippe but about 4 weeks ago he met with an accident breaking his leg above the ankle; this seemed however, to readily yield to the surgeon's care, but lung and kidney complications set in and in the face of the best medical care and help, death very unexpectedly claimed him.
The deceased was a man of good impulses a kind husband and loving father. Though not a member of the church he believed in the church and its work which be always supported with his means. His great aim and ideal in life was to be an honest man. During his sickness he suffered much but bore it in the spirit of patience and no doubt with much thought and reflection he entered the presence of his God. His body will be buried in the beautiful Spring Lake cemetery in Aurora, Illinois. This is in compliance with the request of his father that he might be laid away in the family plot. Thus we lay his body away and command his spirit to his God who will deal with us all according to divine wisdom and mercy.
The elegant casket was adorned with beautiful flowers and a large broken wreath was presented by the employees of the German Savings Bank of this place.

I'm occasionally adding the actual scanned image of the obituary I make using my VERY expensive - large commercial scanner,
and/or also other articles about the deceased person that were published in the Manning Monitor.
I want to also comment about people who are taking my obituaries, pictures, and/or other articles about a person/family and posting them on other websites.
You do NOT have permission or the right to do this - you are stealing my historical work.
Buy your own scanning equipment, pay for memberships to other commercial websites,
and spend decades working on your local history like I have - then you'll understand why I'm making these comments!
Thank you for your attention to this matter - Dave Kusel
