On September 29, 1920, he married Clara Grau at Carroll. They lived in California for a year and then came to Manning, where he was employed by Dultmeier Mfg. For the past several years, he was a sales representative for a Des Moines candy firm.

In falling health for a number of years, he entered Manning General Hospital January 21, and died there late the same evening.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three half-brothers.

He is survived by his wife; a brother, Charles Wise Cox, Lima, Ohio; and a half-sister, Sally Locke, Madisonville, Kentucky.

THE TWENTY-THIRD PSALM

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still water. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me: Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anoitest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
