FRANK EHRICHS
Frank Ehrichs, 79, retired Aspinwall businessman, died Thursday morning, February 14, 1974, at Manning Plaza nursing home, Manning, after a long illness.

Rites will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning with burial in the Nishnabotna Cemetery, Manilla. The Rev. Joel Wright, minister of the Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Pallbearers will be Marcellus Grundmeier, Roy Schilling, Wallace Schroeder, Roy Soll, Carl Musfeldt, and Merton Ross.

Mr. Ehrichs was born in Iowa Township, Crawford County, October 29, 1894, a son of John and Anna (Juergens) Ehrichs. He attended rural school near his home at Iowa No. 3 country school.

At the age of 12 he moved with his parents to Aspinwall and worked in a general store. He started his own business with his brother Ben at the age of 16, and owned and operated the general store here for 54 years. For 37 years he was postmaster. Mr. Ehrichs retired about ten years ago.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Milton Sinow of Aspinwall and Mrs. Howard (Donna Belle) Christensen of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren, a great-grandchild; and a brother, Emil Ehrichs of Denison.

Three grandchildren, nine brothers, and three sisters preceded him in death.
