FRANK MARCUS HASS
Funeral services for Frank Marcus Hass, 84, were held on Monday afternoon, August 24, at 2 o'clock at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, with Rev. Andrew Stewart-Morris of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery. Pallbearers were Louie Tank, Alfred Nulle, Herbert Hass, Walter Hass, Warren Hass, and Marvin Paulsen.

Son of Marx and Christina (Tölk or Toelk) Hass, he was born January 17, 1886 in Iowa Township, Crawford County. He attended rural schools and married Pauline Anthony in 1907.

The couple farmed, with the exception of eight years, until her death in 1946. Mr. Hass then moved to Manning, where he had lived since. He died on Saturday morning, August 22, 1970, at Manning General Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his wife and the following brothers and sisters: Peter Hass, Mrs. Maggie Tank, Johannes Hass, Mrs. Annie Nulle, Albert Hass, Mrs. Emma Stammer, Mrs. Evelina Paulsen, and Ed Hass.

He is survived by a brother, Henry Hass of Lakefield, Minnesota, nieces and nephews.
