FRANK A. HINZ

Funeral services for Frank August Hinz were held Saturday, April 5, in the Manning Methodist church at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. Brown Garlock, pastor in charge of the services. Burial was in the Manning cemetery. Pallbearers were Ben Welch, Charles Ramsey, George Graves, Albert Andresen, Grover Bartels and E.D. Sutherland. A women's choir sang, "God Will Take Care of You" and "The Old Rugged Cross."

Mr. Hinz was born Aug. 15, 1890, three miles east of Manning. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith and received his education in the Manning schools.

He married Estella Rothfolk, Feb. 28, 1912, at Manning. Three children were born to them, Harold of Denison, Mrs. Melvin (Helen) Wegner of Audubon and a daughter who died in infancy.

Mr. Hinz lived on a farm north of Manning for 30 years. Because of ill health, the family moved to Manning where they have spent the past five years

He passed away at the Clarkson Memorial hospital in Omaha, Thursday morning, April 3, at the age of 57 years, 7 months and 18 days.

Mr. Hinz was the second son of Herman and Emma Hinz. Survivors include his wife, son and daughter, two brothers, Harry, of Manning and, Louis, of Audubon; three sisters, Mrs. Henry (Anette) Timmerman of Manning; Mrs. Ed (Rose) Paine of Eagle Grove; and Mrs. Lornie (Elsie) Groff of Milford; also nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

The following relatives and friends from out of town attended the services: Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jesse of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Max Timmermann of Sac City, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Paine of Eagle Grove, Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Groff of Milford, Mrs. George Keat of Carroll, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fiester of Carroll, Mrs. Josie Reiff of Carroll, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Hinz of Perry, Mrs. Nina Rothfolk and son of Jefferson, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Hinz of Audubon, Mr. and Mrs. Harry McWhirter of Fairfield, Mrs. Minnie Clausen of Ogden, Mrs. Laura Campbell of Audubon, Mrs. Rose McCane of Manilla and Mr. and Mrs. Bert McCone of Defiance.


Frank Hinz is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
