Frank Henry, son of John and Mary (Sporrer) Knueven, was born October 22, 1920, at the family home near Templeton, Iowa. Frank attended Sacred Heart School in Templeton. After completing his education, Frank worked with his parents on the family farm.

On September 16, 1943, Frank was united in marriage with Claudia Stewart at Sacred Heart Church in Templeton. Two children were born to this union. Frank and Claudia farmed with his parents until his parents' deaths. He then purchased the farm where he was born and Frank and Claudia continued to live and work on the farm until 2004 when they moved to Coon Rapids to be nearer family.

Frank was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Templeton most of his life and was a paid up lifetime member of the Templeton Council Knights of Columbus. After moving to Coon Rapids, he and Claudia became members of Annunciation Parish.

In his spare time Frank enjoyed farming, making crafts, attending craft sales and school events. He also enjoyed fishing and had hoped to fish more frequently after moving to Coon Rapids. However, his health began to fail and he did no t have the energy to go fishing. After being diagnosed with cancer, he was cared for at home by his loving wife and family until October 15, 2008 when he became a resident of the Thomas Rest Haven Nursing Home in Coon Rapids.
