Services Held For Fred Dammann, 77

Funeral services for Fred Dammann, 77, for many years a resident of this vicinity, were held on Monday afternoon at the Ohde Funeral Home. Rev. Timmer, pastor of the Manilla Presbyterian church had charge of the rites. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery.

The deceased passed away Friday afternoon, August 1, 1941, at the county home, after a long illness. He had been confined to bed most of the three years he had been in the home.
Mr. Dammann was born September 25, 1863, at Bestdorf, Wacken Kirchspiel, Kreis Renzburg, Holstein, Germany. He came to the United States in 1881, first locating at Clinton and then two years later moving to Manning.

Mr. Dammann had never married. He leaves a sister, Mrs. Margaret Dammann of Manning.
Pall bearers were six nephews: John, William, George, Ernest, Emil, and Eddie Dammann.
