Former Resident Buried in California

Fred Jackson Fritz passed away on January 24, 1953, of a heart attack, at the age of 52 years, 11 months, and 3 days.

He was the son of Andrew Jackson and Anna (Kortum) Fritz, and was born in Manning February 9, 1900. He received most of his education in the Manning Schools. He was manager of the Council Oak store here for some time before moving to Manilla and later to Missouri Valley, and then to Long Beach, California, in 1947. He made his home there since then.

Mr. Fritz is survived by his wife (2nd wife), Ramona, six daughters and one son; also his mother Mrs. Anna Fritz of Manning, and two brothers, Jay of Compton, California, and Gilbert of Bremerton, Washington.

Services were held in Long Beach, California, on Thursday, January 29, and burial was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Long Beach.

Fred's first wife (married 1919) was Frances (Farley) of Vail, Iowa. She later married Loyal Williamson in 1952.
