RODE TO HIS DEATH.
Fred Glorfield is found Dead This Morning on The Road Leading to His Home.

Fred Glorifield, a prominent and wealthy farmer, residing one mile west of the city, was found dead this morning, at about 7:30. When found by Charles Garlick, the section boss, he was lying in a ditch by the side of the road, about twenty yards west of the Kirkman crossing. It is supposed that he was thrown from his horse, while returning to his home of last evening, and so injured that he was unable to proceed. Mr. Glorfield was last seen in the city about nine o'clock and it is thought that he left for home shortly after that time The first report of the death created considerable excitement about the city. The night was bitterly cold, and it is extremely probable that the unfortunate man was frozen to death. The remains are now lying in the city council rooms.
