Fredrick Lehwald, age 79, died Sunday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Adolf Porsch. He had been in poor health for some time.

He was born in East Prussia on Jan. 8, 1853. He grew to manhood in his native country and was married to Miss Augusta Tresp. Her death occurred there in 1903 and in 1909 Mr. Lehwald came to America with his youngest son, Richard.

Mr. Lehwald was the father of ten children, seven of whom survive him. The surviving children are: four in Germany, Mrs. Fred Fuss of North Dakota, Richard Lehwald and Mrs. Adolph Porsch.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at the Trinity Lutheran Church, the Reverend Hugo Nieting officiating. Burial took place in the Lincoln Township Cemetery.
