MANNING - Mrs. Ralph Berkheimer, 71, of Manning died at the Manning Plaza Tuesday morning, Jan. 27, after being ill for six months.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Ohde Funeral Home here. The Rev. Robert Rushing, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. will officiate. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery, with nephews as pallbearers.

Mrs. Berkheimer was the former Frieda Puck, daughter of William and Margaret Puck. She was born May 8, 1898, in Lincoln Township, Audubon County. She attended rural school and then worked in various homes near Manning. Her marriage to Mr. Berkheimer took place at Manning Dec. 24. 1924, and they farmed south of Botna for 21 years before retiring and moving into Manning. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving with her husband are the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Alvina Ewoldt and Adolph Puck, Manilla; Albert Puck, Denison; William

Puck, Mrs. Minnie Clausen, El-la, Maggie, Harry and Ed Puck, all of Manning.

Mrs. Berkheimer was preceded in death by three brothers, Bernard, George and Peter Puck, and a sister, Laura.


Frieda Berkheimer is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
