Fritz C. Ehlers
Funeral services for Fritz C. Ehlers, 89, who died at his home here Saturday, March 3, 1956, will be held Tuesday, March 6 at 2 p.m. at the Ohde Funeral home, with Rev. Fred Hamlin officiating. Burial will be in Manning.

Mr. Ehlers was born at Lost Nation, Iowa, March 1, 1867, and came to western Iowa when he was a young man.

He married Anna Wegner of near Aspinwall, March 12 1894. The couple farmed in the Botna area until moving to Manning about 15 years ago.

Survivors include his wife, eight children, Mrs. William (Emma) Hagedorn, Manning; George, Manning; Herman, Manning; Mrs. Arnold (Florence), Witt, Carroll; Mrs. Arthur (Rose) Stuhr, Coon Rapids; Mrs. Roland (Selma) Kuebler, St. Petersburg, Florida; Fred, Manning, and Ernest, Botna; three brothers, William, Flandreau, South Dakota; Emil, Botna; and Louie, Manning; one sister, Mrs. Rose Steen, Manning; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Five brothers, John, Henry, Dietrich, Charles and Ed, and two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Schmidt and Mrs. Emma Mohr, preceded him in death.

Rites were held March 6 at the Ohde Funeral Home here. Mr. Ehlers, 89, died at his home here March 3.

Survivors include his wife, eight children, three brothers, one sister, 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Daughters and sons are: Mrs. William Hagedorn, George, Herman and Fred Ehlers, Manning; Mrs. Arnold Witt and Mrs. Arthur Stuhr, Carroll; Mrs. R.M. Kuebler, St. Petersburg, Florida, and Ernest Ehlers, Botna.
