George Lienemann
March 31, 1887
Manning Monitor

Died on March 25, 1887, in Manning, Iowa, George S., son of John and Jane Lienemann, aged 4 years and 5 months. The funeral services were conducted from the M.E. Church on Friday by Elder J.M. Ferguson.

The following poetry was written by friends:
Dearest parents. I have left you,
And my loss you will sorely feel!
It is God that has bereft you;
He will all your sorrow heal.
Farewell, dearest parents;
For I must be gone
The Angels are waiting
For Georgie to come home.
George's gone! our darling boy is gone
Triumphant, to his home above;
The prison walls are broken down;
The angels speed his swift remove,
And, shouting, on their twinge he flies,
And gains his rest in Paradise.
O, may we all, like him, arise,
And keep the faith, and win the prize!
Father, prepare and then receive
Our hallowed spirits to the skies,
To chant, with our dear boy above,
|Thy glorious, everlasting love.
A Friend.
