DEATHS.
MRS. A.H. GROTH died at her late home in this city on Saturday morning, February 17, following an illness of only a few days.

The death of this woman is especially sad for the fact that her years numbered only 23 and she leaves, besides the husband, two small children, who will never know what means the companionship of a mother. Mr. and Mrs. Groth came here from Sac City early in January, since when the husband has been employed in the Manning Mercantile Co.'s department store, gaining many friends in such capacity.

Short funeral services, conducted by Rev. Weaver, of the M.E. Church, were held from the home at 9:30 o'clock Monday morning, following which the remains were placed aboard a Northwestern train and taken to Sac City where interment took place.

Born at Dunlap, Iowa, in 1877, Mrs. Gertie May Groth was in her 23 year at the time of her taking away. Besides her little family, she leaves a mother and three sisters, respectively, Mrs. Bishop and Misses Grace and Mae Bishop, of Omaha and Mrs. Ellis of Mapleton. The grandparent took home with her for keeping the infant babe, and the mother of Mr. Groth took the little boy, two years old. She resides at Sac City. The above named were all present at the funeral. Mr. Groth has the sympathy of all Manning people in his sad affliction.
