FUNERAL SERVICES FOR HANS HANSEN HELD TUES

Mr. Hans Hansen died Saturday, April 7, 1933, at the St. Anthony Hospital at Carroll where he had been ill for the past month. He had been ailing for several months and cancer was the direct cause of his death. He was born February 1, 1868, to Peter and Friedricka (Juergensen) Hansen, at Odstedt, Schleswig Holstein, Germany, and the early years of his life were spent in his native land. In 1894 he came to America and settled near Vail, Iowa.

On May 5, 1894 he was married to Margaret Petersen, and they began housekeeping in Iowa Township on a farm north east of Manilla where they have made their home since.

Besides his widow he leaves to mourn his 5 children, Mrs. Emma Anthony of Irwin, William of Aspinwall, and Claudius, Arthur, and Margaret at home. He also leaves his six grandchildren. He has two brothers and two sisters still living in Germany.

Funeral services were held from the Ohde Funeral Home at Manning Tuesday afternoon, April 11 at 2 p.m., with Rev. F.C. Israel of Manilla in charge of the services.
Burial in Hayes Township Cemetery, Crawford County.
