Hans Hinrichs was born October 18, 1858, in Schleswig Germany, and died at Coleman, South Dakota, August 4, 1913, aged 54 years, 9 months, 16 days. When 7 years of age he came with his parents to America and settled in Scott County Iowa. Mr. Hinrichs was married in 1883 to Anna Winklemann at Westside, Crawford County, Iowa. To this union were born 7 children, all but the eldest of whom are still living. Emma of Carroll, Iowa; Amanda of Black Hills, South Dakota; Hans of Bickness California; Edith, Margaret, Captolia, of Manning. Besides his children the deceased leaves four sisters, Mrs. Marie Schiessen, of Davenport, Mrs. Tim Anthony of Westside, Mrs. Fred Miller, of Carroll, Mrs. William Ranniger Manning, Iowa.
