Harry Laurinat

Harry H. Laurinat, 59, of 1314 North Court Street, Carroll, died at 7 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, 1971, at St. Anthony Hospital following a year's illness. Requiem mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence Church, interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Twit Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 3, 8 and 8:45 p.m. Wednesday. The Elks memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Laurinat was custodian at the Carroll Medical Center for over 20 years. He was born at Manning June 18, 1911, a son of Walter and Emma (Karsten) Laurinat, and was a 1930, graduate of Manning High School. His marriage to Mrs. Vera Davis took place June 6, 1964, at SS. Peter and Paul Church in Carroll. He was a member of St. Lawrence Church and a member and past exalted ruler of the Carroll Elks Lodge No. 1637.

He is survived by his wife Vera; a daughter, Connie Lou Laurinat of Carroll; a sister, Mrs. Hubert (Helen) Lohr of Lohrville; a brother, Elvin Laurinat of Manning; four stepchildren, Harold Davis of Clarinda, Mrs. Paul Wiederien, Mrs. Merle Potthoff, and Mrs. Leo Lambertz, Carroll; 28 step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.

His first wife, the former Marie Conway, preceded him in death.
