Helen (Hoover) Longtin

Helen Longtin passed away suddenly at her home in Norfolk, Virginia, on March 10th. Services were held March 13, 1993, at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with retired U.S. Navy Chaplain Father Richardson presiding.

Helen graduated from Manning High School in 1938 and worked for Priebe and Sons before leaving for California in the 1940s to work in a defense plant during the war. She married Arthur Longtin, U.S. Navy, now retired. After many years of being stationed in California they were transferred to the naval base at Norfolk, Virginia.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur; six children; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marie Pierce of Bellflower, California; many nieces and nephews including Mr. and Mrs. Bud Stahl and Kenneth Stahl of Manning.
