Gone TO Rest.
Henry Edward William George, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hagemann, of Harlan, died Thursday January 19, 1905 shortly before nine o'clock in the evening after an illness of nine days with spinal meningitis and congestion of the brain. Little Henry was born on the 11th day of May, his age being 8 months and 8 days. He was brought to this city Saturday, January 21, 1905, to the residence of R. Stumpe. After a few words were spoken by Rev. Johann Ansorge, he was taken to the German Lutheran Church where the sermon was preached by Rev. Ansorge and he was then laid to rest in this cemetery beside his grandma, mother of Mr. Henry Hagemann. The pallbearers of Harlan were four girls, Alta Holmes, Maudie Kellog, Grace Gladson and June Beaver, and in this city they were Minnie Stumpe, Hilda Miller, Amanda and Nettie Kruse. Fifteen minutes before, little Henry's death he waved his little hand goodbye to tell that he was going to a better world than this. Those who, mourn his loss are mother and father and four sisters; Mary, Caroline, Lottie and Emma.
