HENRY JANSEN
Henry Jansen, 83, of Aspinwall died Monday, January 30, 1967, after being in failing health for six months.

Rites will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Ohde Funeral Home, Manning, with the Rev. Carl G. Sinning, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. Mrs. Lyle Joens will be vocal soloist; Bonita (Mrs. Henry W.) Hagedorn, organist. Burial will be in the Iowa Township Cemetery, with nephews as pallbearers.

Mr. Jansen, son of Ferdinand and Emma (Wiese) Jansen, was born June 9, 1883, in Clinton County and came to Carroll County in 1895. He was married to Anna Kuhl February 20, 1907, in Iowa Township. They farmed for two years in Lincoln Township, Audubon County, and then on farms in Iowa Township. In 1936, they moved to an acreage near Aspinwall and in 1953, to the present Jansen home in town.

Survivors include his wife; four children, Mrs. Emma Steffen, Iowa Falls; Harry Jansen, Manning; Mrs. Averill (Hilda) Vinke, Audubon; and Alvin Jansen, Aspinwall; 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Annie Fischer and Mrs. Anna Kasch, Council Bluffs, and Mrs. Herman (Laura) Hargens, Manning.

Mr. Jansen was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Roy (Augusta) Georgius, in 1959; one grandchild, three brothers and two sisters.
