HENRY LAMAACK

Funeral rites for Henry John Lamaack, 61, retired farmer, were held on. Friday morning, July 31, at 11:00 at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning, with Pastor E. F. Heinicke officiating. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery, with Herbert Mahnke, Freddie Ehlers, Wm. Dammann, Henry Thomssen, Merle Thomssen and Julius Vinke as pallbearers.

Mr. Lamaack, who had been ill for six months, underwent surgery at Manning General Hospital on Tuesday. July 29, and died there Wednesday July 29.

Son of Hans and Lizzie Kai Lamaack, he was, born Nov. 5, 1908, in Iowa Township, Crawford County. He attended rural schools. He was married to Norma Anthony at Manning on Sept. 7, 1934. They farmed west of Manning for six years and then moved to a farm north of Aspinwall. In December 1969, they purchased a home in Manning and moved to town.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, a son Allan, of Manilla; two daughters, Mrs. Allen (Marla) Nissen, and Mrs. Gorden (Valda) Lamp, Manning, 5 granddaughters and a grandson; a brother, Harry Lamaack of Botna and three sisters: Mrs. Edna Meggers, Nana; Mrs.Anna Saunders, San Leandro, Calif.; Mrs. Orren Schroeder, Manning.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
