Funeral services for Herbert Frahm were held Monday, October 6, 1980, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Manning with the Rev. Carl Sinning officiating. Organist was Odessa Wycoff, vocalist was Ray Pratt. Interment was in Manning Cemetery with Joe Bullivant, Cleo Chamberlain, Bill Opperman, Ray Vetter, Orville Hinze and Fred Nulle as casketbearers. Masonic memorial service was held Sunday, October 5, 1980, at 8:00 p.m. at Ohde Funeral Home in Manning. The Ohde Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Herbert J., son of Henry and Emma Hagge Frahm, was born February 22, 1902, in Washington Township, Carroll County, Iowa. He attended the rural schools near his home.

He was united in marriage with Verna M. Rowedder on January 25, 1929. They farmed north of Manning on the farm where Herb was born. In 1960 Herb retired and since that time has made his home in Manning. His wife, Verna, died January 6, 1960. Herb was a member of the Masonic Lodge #450 AF and AM of Manning, the Scottish Rite in Sioux City, and was an active member of the Presbyterian Church in Manning, serving as an elder and trustee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, by an infant daughter, Sharon Joan in 1936, and by a brother, George.

He is survived by his son Ronald, and his daughter-in-law, Lois, and by a sister, Mrs. Ann Popp of Manning, as well as by nieces, nephews, & other relatives and friends.
