Funeral rites for Mrs. Hilda Kruse, 80, Downey, California, a former area resident, were held on Friday morning, with burial at Downey.

Mrs. Kruse is survived by two sons, Bob and Don; a daughter, Marjorie; 5 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Henry (Helma) Kruse, Manning, Mrs. Ray (Ruby) Brandhorst, Denver, Colorado, and Mrs. Viola Copeland, Lincoln, Nebraska; and a brother, Woodrow Strathman of Westside.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kruse, Mrs. Orville Kroeger of Westside, attended the rites, with Mr. and Mrs. Brandhorst, leaving Omaha by plane on Thursday afternoon, and returning on Sunday.

Family members were Saturday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Kienast and family at Long Beach, California.
