Howard Milo Christensen

A Celebration of Life for Howard Milo Christensen of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, was held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at Christ By The Lake Lutheran Church in Bull Shoals, Arkansas, with Pastor Sherman Gordius officiating.

Howard passed away on August 18, 2017, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 95. He was born January 25, 1922, in Irwin, Iowa, the son of Chris and Emelia (Petersen) Christensen. He was a farmer and married Donna Ehrichs in 1951, in Iowa. Howard attended the University of Iowa before moving to Cedar Rapids. He retired from Cherry Burrell Corporation and they moved to Bull Shoals. Howard and Donna loved their vacations traveling to every state except Hawaii and Alaska. He was a member of Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church, a member of the choir and even attended Bible Study at 95, his love of Jesus was so strong. Howard enjoyed wood working, painting, gardening, researching Danish history and of course, EATING! He loved his family and his church family and he made friends easily with his quick laughter and easy one-liners.

Howard is survived by his wife, Donna Christensen of Bull Shoals, Arkansas; son, Kevin Christensen of Novato, California; daughter, Jill (Terry) Smith of Lamed, Kansas; son, Bryce (Kay) Christensen of Cedar Rapids, Iowa: six step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and half brothers and sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Susan Smith Christensen.

Memorials may be made to Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church.
