JACK FRITZ DEAD.
Word reached this office last evening to the effect that. Jack Fritz had died at Harlan, to which place he had moved from this city about ten days ago. Lung fever is said to be the cause of his death.

Having resided in Manning for a number of years past nearly every one here knew Jack Fritz, and they knew him to be a man of industrious and economic habits; a man who appeared just what he was and was just what he appeared. It was not his disposition to deceive.

Besides the wife, and four small children, the deceased leaves an aged mother, six brothers and one sister. The remains arrived in the city this noon and were interred at 4 o'clock this afternoon in the cemetery south of town. S.B. Fritz, of Pocahontas Center; W.A. John and M.L. Fritz of Rodeman and other relatives from abroad arrived in town today in time for the funeral.
