Janet Lee Horbach

Janet (Kuhl) Horbach, 56, 5845 Lexington Road, Athens, Georgia, died December 14, 1994. The daughter of Neoma (Nagle) Kuhl and the late Roy Kuhl, she was born March 11, 1938, a native of Iowa.

She attended country school in the Aspinwall area and graduated from the Manning High School with the Class of 1956. She graduated from St. Anthony's School of Nursing in Carroll. She was Dr. Hornberger's office nurse in the 1960s.

She lived in Georgia since 1972 and was a member of the Catholic Center. Mrs. Horbach was an LPN instructor with Athens Area Technical Institute. For 27 years, she was a labor and delivery nurse at St. Mary's Hospital and was well known as a Lamaze coach for a number of years.

Memorial services were held Friday, December 16, 1994, at the University of Georgia Catholic Chapel. Father Steve Pavignano officiated.

Survivors include her three children: Dr. and Mrs. Todd Horbach of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Dr. and Mrs. Greg Horbach of Portsmouth, Virginia; and Dr. Nancy Horbach and husband, Dr. Javier Olano of Lugoff, South Carolina; four grandsons; her mother, Neoma, of Yukon, Oklahoma; a sister, Carol, of Oklahoma City; mother-in-law, Mil Horbach; and a host of relatives and friends.
