Jay Curlile
Jay Edward, son of Wayne and Velaine (Yeck) Curlile, was born August 11, 1965, at Carroll, Iowa. He attended Manning schools from kindergarten through his graduation in 1984. Jay was a loving child and helped on the family farm throughout his childhood. He was confirmed in the Manning United Methodist Church and was assisted by Jim and Pam Switzer in broadening his Christian values.

Jay attended college at the University of Iowa and Iowa Central Community College before graduating from Parker Chiropractic College at Irving, Texas. He lived most of his adult years in Texas, operating chiropractic offices in Ft. Stockton, Vernon and Paris. Jay was also a member of state and national chiropractic associations. He built a thriving practice in Paris, which allowed him to retire in 2001. His caring nature, professional knowledge and work ethic allowed him to assist many people over the years. Since retirement Jay pursued his love of fishing at Lake Texoma, golfing and purchasing older vehicles and boats.

On Saturday, February 21, 2004, Jay died in Dallas, Texas, as the result of a motor vehicle-pedestrian accident. He was 38 years, 6 months and 10 days of age.

Jay is preceded in death by his grandparents Maurice and Marie Curlile; grandfather Marion J. Yeck; and aunts Wanda Davidson and Eileen Yeck Wood.
