Jeanette Lampe

Mass of the Christian burial for Jeanette Lampe was held Wednesday, August 27, 1997, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll, Iowa. Father James McCormick officiated the service. Lector for the Mass was Lori Willenborg. Gift bearers were Angela Patzner, Samantha Lampe, Lisa Lampe, Sara Dickson and Amber Lampe. Eucharistic minister was Bernice Bluml. Interment was held in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Carroll with Denny Lally, Randy Willenborg, Lon Dentlinger, Dale Willenborg, Leroy Lampe and Clifford Lampe as casketbearers.

Visitation began Tuesday, August 26, at Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll with Rosary being recited at 3:00 p.m. and a wake service held at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be left at the funeral home for the American Cancer Society and Carroll Area Hospice Association.

Jeanette Lampe, 65, of Carroll died of cancer early Sunday, August 24, 1997, at her home.
Born August 16, 1932, in Manning, Mrs. Lampe was a daughter of Henry Sr. and Ida (Uhlenkamp) Willenborg. She spent her younger years in the Manning community and graduated from Manning High School in 1950.
On February 1, 1955, she was married to Marvin Lampe at Sacred Heart Church in Manning. The Lampes spent most of their married life in Carroll.

Mrs. Lampe was employed at New Hope Village in Carroll from 1980 to 1996. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, the parish Ladies Guild and New Hope Village Parents Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law, Joseph Sr. and Elizabeth Lampe; three brothers-in-law, Herman Lampe, Myron Naber and Clarence Lampe; and a niece, Linda Lally.
Mrs. Lampe is survived by her husband, Marvin, of Carroll; seven sons, Rick Lampe and his wife, Mary, of Springfield, Missouri; Jim Lampe and his wife, Marvel, of Carroll; John Lampe, and his wife, Karla, of Maple River; Mark Lampe of Carroll; Tom Lampe and his wife, Heather, of Red Oak; Joe Lampe of Jefferson and Bill Lampe of Carroll; Four daughters: JoAnn Patzner and her husband, Mark, of Carroll; Marilyn Dickson and her husband, Jake, of Cedar Rapids; Barb Lampe and her friend, Nels Mortensen, of Denison; and Sue Nickum and her husband, Mark, of Des Moines; sixteen grandchildren; four sisters: Bernice Naber of Carroll; Tarsilla Lampe of Marathon, Wisconsin; Edna Tigges and her husband, Ray, of Cedar Rapids; and Elaine Huelshorst and her husband, Gene, of Carroll; three brothers: Leo Willenborg and his wife, Darlene, of Manning; Henry Willenborg Jr. and his wife, Ardella, of Manning and Marvin Willenborg and his wife, Norma, of Omaha, Nebraska; two brothers-in-law, Albert Lampe and his wife, Margaret, of Mosinee,' Wisconsin, and Joseph Lampe, Jr. and his wife, Helen, of Carroll; and three sisters-in-law, Isabella Dentlinger and her husband, Al, of Westside, Dorothy Meister and her husband, Hilbert, of Denison and Bertha Lampe of Sac City.
