Joe Locke Dies At Omaha, Nebraska

News has been received in Manning of the death of a former Manning resident, Joe A. Locke, 68 of 1810 N. 16th St., Omaha.

Mr. Locke was employed for many years by the city street department as night watchman at the Douglas County Garage.

Mr. Locke's body was found lying across his desk Monday morning, September 21, 1942, by the timekeeper when he reported for work at 6 a.m. An investigation showed that death was due to natural causes.

Mr. Locke is survived by several brothers and sisters. He was never married. He was a brother of Pete Locke, at one time light heavyweight champion wrestler. Pete Locke, who passed away about a year ago, was well known in Omaha for the cafe he operated and for his interest in sports.
