OLD LADY PASSES AWAY

Johanna Magdalena Aguste Hagedorn was born on the 8th of October 1849, in Breitenstein, Schleswig Holstein. Here she was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith.

On the 11 day of May 1862 she was married to the surviving husband John Christian Hagedorn in Goernitz, Schleswig Holstein. In 1888 the family came to America, locating on a farm in Crawford County, near Aspinwall. 14 years ago they moved to Aspinwall. This union was blessed with 9 children, three preceding the mother in death.

The following mourn the death of the wife and mother: the husband, John Christian Hagedorn; four daughters Mrs. Johanna Stoltenberg and Mrs. Elsie Hansen, both living in Germany; Mrs. Mary Tollgaard and Mrs. Minnie Koester, of Flandreau, South Dakota; two sons, Herman, of Ethan, South Dakota; and Carl of Manning. She attained the age of 71 years, 3 months and 25 days.

The funeral was held Thursday afternoon, April 4, in Aspinwall. Interment was made in the Iowa Township Cemetery, Rev Adolph W. Fruechte officiating.
