John David, Resident Since 1868, Passes

One Of The First Settlers in Lincoln Township; Passed Away At Age Of 91

John David, Lincoln resident, and one of the oldest residents of Audubon County, passed away at a late hour last Wednesday afternoon at his home, at the age of 91 years, 8 months and 14 days. Death was due to apoplexy.

The deceased was born in Borntuchen, Germany, on August 22, 1833. In 1860 he was married to Miss Wilhelmina Henrietta Nassinska. Six years later he came with his family to this country, settling immediately in Lincoln township, where his home has been made continuously until the death of his wife in 1912. Since that time he has made his home with his son Albert in Gray, Iowa.

Seven Children Survive
He is survived by the following children: Carl of Watertown, S.D.; Fred of Manning; Albert of Gray, Mrs. Henry Borkowski of Manning; Adolph Frentz and Miss Augusta David, both of Watertown, S.D. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from Trinity Lutheran Church at Lincoln Township, Rev. H. Neiting officiating, Burial took place in the Lincoln Township Cemetery.
