Funeral services for John Frederick Hansen were held at the Ohde Funeral home here Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Harlan Kruse of the Presbyterian church officiating. The Presbyterian quartet sang, accompanied by Mrs. H. W. Hagedorn. Burial was in the Denison cemetery.

Mr. Hansen, retired farmer, was born in Clinton county, Iowa, Nov. 21, 1871. On Oct. 1, 1896, he was married to Mary Lorenzen at Denison. He farmed until 1940, when he purchased a home in Manning.

He died at the Manning General hospital Saturday afternoon after an illness of 10 days.

Mr. Hansen is survived by the following children: John, Huron, S. D.; Thomas, Jackson, Minn.; Louis, Denison; Fred, Victor; LeRoy, Manning; Mrs. John Ewoldt (Frieda); Denison; Mrs. Alfred Ewoldt (Anna), Westside; Mrs. Gerhardt Lamp (Minnie), Manning; Mrs. Carl Farington (Rose), Schleswig; Mrs. William Freitas (Ellen), Oakland, Calif. He also leaves three sisters: Mrs. Henry Mundt, Manning; Mrs. Henry Stuhr, Botna.

He was preceded in death by two sons, August and Henry, both of Manning, and a sister, Maggie Hansen, who passed away December 7 at the Manning hospital.
