John Hansen Funeral Friday
The funeral service for John Hansen, 479 Fourteenth St. S.E., who died Monday in St. John's Hospital will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Welter Funeral Home with the Rev. Erling Erickson officiating. Interment will be at Holstein, Iowa.

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday or Thursday evening.

Hansen was born November 4, 1903, at Manilla, Iowa, the son of John and Mary Hansen. He married Hilda Hueschen November 16, 1932, at Elk Point. They lived in Sioux Falls until 1942 when they moved to Huron. He was employed with Standard Oil Company 32 years until 1961 when he started the Hansen Oil Equipment Company and operated it with his son.

Survivors include his widow; one son, Max, Huron; one daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Cathleen) Holmes, Overland Park, Kansas; five grandchildren, Gordon and Christopher Holmes and Mitchell, Michael and Marcus Hansen; five sisters, Mrs. Freda Ewoldt and Mrs. Alfred (Anna) Ewoldt, both of Denison, Iowa; Mrs. Gerhardt (Minnie) Lamp, Manning, Iowa; Mrs. Rose Chandler, Shreveport, Louisiana; Mrs. Eller Murphy, Sacramento, California; three brothers, Thomas, Storden, Minnesota; Freddie Victor, Iowa Leroy in Washington.

Hansen was a member of BPOE.
