JOHN HENRY HUSMANN
February 29, 1912 Manning Monitor

John Henry, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Jurgeon Husmann, was born on the 6th of March 1884, in Carroll County Iowa, and died February 22, 1912.

The 30th day of June, 1889, the son was presented to the Lord in holy baptism, thus being sanctified to the Triune God and receiving a new life, a divine gift of grace and without which no man can enter the Kingdom of God.

When the deceased was but 13 years of age sickness befell him and since that time has been more or less ailing and badly crippled.

But he bore his cross with patience and endurance knowing that a day would soon come where all pain and suffering would be obliterated and all sorrow would be turned into joy and gladness. Since the last five weeks he was confined to his bed. His suffering continually increased and his vitality decreased.

On the 22nd of February, at 1:30 o'clock he passed away and reached the haven of eternal rest and bliss.

By suffering he was prepared for the heavenly home.

Those that mourn the loss are the following: the sorrow-stricken parents Mr. and Mrs. Jurgeon Husmann; two brothers George Husmann of South Dakota and Julius Husmann of Manning; five sisters Mrs. Katherina Fischer, of Los Angeles California, Mrs. Louise Schnoor of Bouton, Dallas County, Iowa, Mrs. Mathilda Eikmeier of Manning, Mrs. Mary Wulf of Manning and Minnie Husmann of Manning and a large number of friends and acquaintances.

Rev. Fruechte delivered the funeral address, Sunday before a large body of friends who came to pay their respects to the deceased.

Afterwards the body was taken by kind hands to the Manning Cemetery where it was laid to rest until the Judgment Day, when all who loved the Lord shall rise and sing praises to him. The sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of their many friends in their sad bereavement.

John Husmann is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
